Be 1 of the first 1000

Be 1 of the first 1000 was an overall campaign to launch the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4. Samsung wanted to launch their flagship device without a competition element and reward Samsung loyalty amongst their users. We took the concept of exclusivity and allowed users to pre-order their Galaxy S4 and be 1 of the first 1000 people to receive theirs before everyone else, tapping in to the true ‘fanboys’ of Samsung. We then grouped our users in to four groups which related to the 4 key features of the Galaxy S4, adding a sense of belonging and a competitive aspect to the campaign. On the launch date the first 1000 had to queue up at Sandton City Shopping Centre with a massive carnival showcase filled with colour, activations and excitement creating a massive launch event that not only involved our online audience but also everyone at Sandton city creating a much larger audience reach.
